My craft is pushed to produce the emotional impact that fosters a palpable connection.  Spirit of place, the essence of the individual; these are the things that matter and endure.  When you have achieved this you know it, and it's wonderful.  The neccessity and beauty of connection is an essential theme, deeply embedded at times, in my art.  I have found photography a way to experience the world in a peaceful and transcedent fashion.  My camera acts as "a finger that points to the moon" to use a Buddhist adage.
